How Can severe Throat Irritation Be Treated?

I have noticed that for around 4 weeks I have had throat irritation with no soreness. My throat feels as if something is causing it to be scratchy and irritated, it also appears to have elevated red areas on the backside of my throat. I have not noticed a great deal of post nasal drip and it seems worse if I drink out of disposable red cups or bottled water. Today I am experiencing sinus issues and it seems worse. Concerned that I might have a possible allergic reaction going on?

There is a possibility of allergy to the content of the bottle's water or the material that the red cups are made of or the one of the substances coated inside the cups or bottle. Just avoid the stimulus as you have mentioned and I think it will be OKay.
You don't need any medication. Godspeed.
